At The Good Meal Co, we are proud to be delivering frozen meals across Australia to our NDIS and Aged Care customers. At uncertain times like what is happening around the world at the moment with the Coronavirus, we are making sure that we are ramping up and ready to be home delivering frozen meals to our aged care and NDIS customers.

We understand that many of our customers are the most vulnerable. Our staff and customer’s health and safety is our top priority. We are taking every necessary precaution (read more about the precautions we are taking). Whilst already following strict food handling and service regulations, we have implemented a number of additional, proactive health and safety measures to ensure we can continue to provide you with the best, and safest, experience possible.

We deliver our meals frozen and for many reasons and at times like this, when people might feel more comfortable having a few more meals put away, we want to assure you that our frozen meals are a healthy and safe choice.

Let’s dive into our top 8 reasons for choosing Frozen vs. Fresh:

Convenience

We have refined preparation, storage and reheating techniques to create healthy, quality meals and entrees, saving you time and money. Store them in the freezer and use as and when required. No need to brace the supermarkets when everyone else is panic buying to see them through a possible self-isolation period.

Reliability

Frozen vegetables are nutritionally more reliable than fresh as freezing prevents sensitive vitamins and nutrients from being lost during transportation.

Nutrition

Frozen food does not need to contain any preservatives or other nasties to keep them fresher longer.

Safety

Freezing suspends microbial and fungal activity in the food. As long as the food remains frozen, it is safe.

No Seasonal Restrictions

Freezing allows us to choose from a vast selection of seasonal ingredients all year round. It allows us to provide you with some of our more unusual meals you may not have tasted before because their preparation times and high quality ingredients would be prohibitive if you had to start from scratch.

Quality

The Frozen Food Foundation says that frozen fruits and vegetables are equally, and possibly more nutritious than fresh.

Cost effective

Only use what you need. Meals kept in the freezer for when you don’t have time to cook or unable to have assistance with meal prepping means you don’t have to spend huge amounts of money on unhealthy takeaway or make poor food choices. It also means you save money as you waste less.

Less waste

Using your freezer helps you use only what you need. There is no mad rush to consume huge amounts quickly and you have time to eat only what you need. Freezing means you can keep larger quantities of food for longer.
